<title>Reciprocal Reading Group Cards</title>
<description>These group cards will help your guided reading group share the roles associated with reciprocal teaching. The cards are an aid to model the four basic strategies for understandning any text. Each card can be laminated and used as a book mark or to section the page if one paragraph is being used at a time. Cards include: The Boss The Predictor The Questioner The Clarifier The Summariser The cards act as a reminder to each group member of their role and help formualate responses for the discussion. Once modelled by the teacher the children will be trained to work within their group unassisted. Download reciprocal reading pdf (right click link and choose Save Link As ) Please note the character graphics print much nicer than they are displayed on the screen &#60;br clear="all"></description>

<title>SHEEP - Every Child Matters</title>
<description> SHEEP - the acronym for the Every Child Matters 5 Outcomes
I used these sheets to play games to develop citizenship skills,
work with the school council and set school and class targets. There
are a range of sheets here that could be used in a variety of ways so
experiment.

  SHEEP Poster
Our SHEEP Target - Set a target for the week or add the target to the SDIP
   SHEEP Mini Cards -
Play games with these cards or let children earn a card for their good behaviour or awareness of the 5 outcomes
The statement cards -&amp;nbsp; 2 sets. 1. 45 statements - allow children to sort a range of situations into postive and negative behaviours
  2. 24 positive statements to sort into the 5 outcomes
   SHEEP display banners
- Cut these up and put them on a separate piece of paper and ask the
children to think of how the school meets each of the 5 outcomes. There
is a yellow SHEEP with a bin&amp;nbsp; (on page 2) to add comments regarding
things that happen at the school which may not be positive

Three pages show sample handwriting patterns for the children to
loosen their wrists and fingers and help them to find a comfortable
position for their books or paper

Ask children to write the date and the title, followed by 2

<title>KS1 KS2 ICT Skills Walls</title>
<description> These ICT Skills Walls have bricks containing key words associated with the ICT QCA units of work. They are great for using as A4 sheets stuck onto pupil's ICT folders.

As topics are covered or key words are introduced or consollidated,
simply colour the word in. This acts as a record of children's
understanding of important language.

Each brick has an outer edge so at the beginning of each topic the
language the teacher wants the children to use for a series of lessons
can be coloured. Once the children feel confident in using the language
the children then can colour the whole brick.

Why not increase the size to A3 and have the Skills Wall next to
your compters in the classroom or center to your ICT display ~
Encourage the use of appropriate language.

Colour code targetted keywords and understood keywords

<title>Millionaire</title>
<description> Set the test and the mood of Who Wants to be a Millionaire. All the sounds are
there, the suspense as you read the question, that dreaded incorrect
sound and a round of applause for the correct answer. Click on the
question mark to hurry the contestants up and the computer will ask "So
is that your final answer?"

Ask children to work in groups or on their own.

Play the game as you see on TV or ask all the questions and let the
children answer onto paper and use the animations to reveal the answers.

 &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;

There are ten slides set up with the right sound effects for the
correct and incorrect answers, so simply add your questions. In the
Powerpoint Edit view, next to the slide there is a letter representing
where the correct answer is (this cannot be seen when the slideshow is
running!). So, add your answer and three incorrect alternatives and
'hey presto' Who Wants to be a Millionaire?

If you need more then 10 questions, simply copy and paste the blank
slides. Move the slides around so the children can't predict which will
be the first answer on every show you create.
