Literacy RECIPROCAL READING GROUP CARDS

These group cards will help your guided reading group share the roles associated with reciprocal teaching. The cards are an aid to model the four basic strategies for understandning any text.
Reciprocal Reading Cards
Each card can be laminated and used as a book mark or to section the page if one paragraph is being used at a time.

Cards include:
The Boss
The Predictor
The Questioner
The Clarifier
The Summariser

The cards act as a reminder to each group member of their role and help formualate responses for the discussion.

Once modelled by the teacher the children will be trained to work within their group unassisted.

ICT & Computing KS1 KS2 ICT SKILLS WALLS

These ICT Skills Walls have bricks containing key words associated with the ICT QCA units of work.

Year 1 Skills Wall
They are great for using as A4 sheets stuck onto pupil's ICT folders.

As topics are covered or key words are introduced or consollidated, simply colour the word in. This acts as a record of children's understanding of important language.

Each brick has an outer edge so at the beginning of each topic the language the teacher wants the children to use for a series of lessons can be coloured. Once the children feel confident in using the language the children then can colour the whole brick.

Why not increase the size to A3 and have the Skills Wall next to your compters in the classroom or center to your ICT display ~ Encourage the use of appropriate language.

Colour code targetted keywords
and understood keywords
